About Our Site

AHomeEducation was formed to offer a unique reference point on expert advice on home schooling.

Taking the plunge to begin teaching your child from home can seem like a difficult prospect. Some questions that might immediately crop up will be about the legality of a home education, and issues surrounding the requirement of qualifications for the teaching parent.

The answers to the questions can all be found in AHomeEducation, a website gateway to articles on every question you could think of surrounding issues impacting your child's home education. AHomeEducation was created to provide you with a trustworthy and accurate reference point where you will be able to read advice and information that you can trust.

The pages on this site are divided up according to issue, so if you're looking for info on lesson plans, check out the "curricula" and "ideas" sections. If you want to find out more about home schooled children and socialisation, look up the "social and leisure" articles. Or if you're interested in how home schooled children can study for qualifications like GCSEs and A Levels, you'll need to head to the "qualifications" section of the site.

Use the navigation bar on the left-hand side of the AHomeEducation site to discover everything you've ever wanted to know about home schooling your child.

Our concern was that there was no single UK resource for interesting features and practical advice on this subject.

Our features and articles are written by experts - who have experience, or a particular interest in this area.
